Fresh Portabella Caps

The process of growing portabellas loses some of their natural moisture, giving them the characteristic meaty texture. As a substitute for meat, the portabella offers no fat, sodium, or cholesterol while still being a good mushroom to grill, bake, or even deep-fry. Optimal storage is in a paper bag inside of a refrigerator for seven days at most.
